Business development manager Europe at Synthon
Synthon is a Dutch pharmaceutical company which develops and manufactures generic human medicines. Expanding its business activities, Synthon is also engaged in the research and development of biotechnology-based medicines. Synthon’s head office is in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and the company has seven affiliates abroad.
The job
As business development manager you play a key role in Synthon’s commercial team. Your key activities will be:
· You will be responsible for out-licensing our products which are in the final stage of their development.
· You will develop new business opportunities and manage existing relationships in Europe.
· You will negotiate with our business partners on the licensing terms and successfully conclude contracts.
· You will provide input for the sales planning and forecasting, and develop CRM.
· You will have to travel two to three times per month for a duration of 1-3 days.
The candidate
· You have a technical or economical Master degree and at least 5 years of relevant commercial experience in high tech industry (preferably the (bio)pharmaceutical industry).
· You have commercial skills and the ability to do business with high-level customers.
· You have demonstrable negotiation and communication skills which lead to concluded agreements. In addition, you have an understanding of related legal issues.
· You have the personality and experience to act in the top tier of the business environment and easily develop and maintain relationships with customers.
· You have an outstanding command of the English language (written and spoken).
